Noam Zeigman from Kol Berama had a office from the Beit Shemesh Religous Council yesterday discussing how there were a small amount of individuals that were involved with dowsing eruv poles in the Bar Ilan neighborhood of the city. Even though the neighborhood is “mixed” the chareidi and non chareidi families live together in peace.
Last week, by mistake, a pole was put up in that area. By Sunday afternoon a group of 6 or 7 people backed by a city councilman from Likud came and took down the eruv. The council head was disappointed in their actions and expressed that he would have expected a councilman to work to bridge gaps not further them and causing machlokes.
