A spokesman for the regional fire station Beit Shemesh, Mumi Elimelech, said last night that the staff shut down the local station house because they were called to Ben-Gurion Airport to help search and rescue forces with an emergency landing that took place – and Baurch Hashem – ended peacefully.
This is the plane left Russia with around 180 passengers. During the flight they realized there was a tear in one of the wheels which would likely make it harder for landing safely. As mentioned above, the plane landed safely.
